At Southwood Infant School, we are committed to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential, and regular attendance is fundamental to this. While we appreciate that there may occasionally be unavoidable circumstances affecting attendance, these should remain exceptional. Absence from school can have a significant impact on a child’s learning and progress. We greatly value working in partnership with parents and carers to promote high levels of attendance.

Hampshire County Council’s Code of Conduct in respect of unauthorised absence has been updated and penalty notices may now be issued.  Our current Attendance Policy can be found in the policy section of the website.
